Eldorado Gold subsidiaries showcase Skouries mining project

Eldorado Gold subsidiaries, Ellinikos Chrysos and Metallia Thrakis, are showcasing the Skouries copper-gold mining project at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair. The project is described as one of the largest industrial developments currently being completed in Greece, representing a strategic investment for both the national and European economies.

The companies are highlighting a new era of mining that integrates technological innovation, digitalization, and strict environmental management. A key focus is the Prometheus Training Mining Academy, which utilizes advanced augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) simulators to train personnel on various heavy mining machinery for both underground and open-pit environments, such as the Olympias mine.

At the exhibition, visitors can engage with digital tours of the production stages and the journey of minerals through touchscreens and VR headsets, emphasizing the importance of critical raw materials for future technological applications.
