Sky and NOW to premiere action thriller series Atomic

The action thriller series ‘Atomic’ is scheduled to premiere on August 20, 2026, exclusively on Sky and streaming on NOW. Created by Gregory Burke, the series is inspired by the book ‘The Atomic Bazaar’ by journalist William Langewiesche.

The plot follows Max, a smuggler played by Alfie Allen, and JJ, an enigmatic fugitive played by Shazad Latif. The two form an unlikely alliance while caught in a dangerous mission involving the transport of highly enriched uranium across North Africa and the Middle East. Their journey triggers an international pursuit involving the CIA, MI6, and various adversarial forces.

Samira Wiley stars as Cassie Elliott, a brilliant scientist and unofficial undercover CIA agent who pursues the duo under the belief they are linked to violent extremists. The series will consist of five episodes, with two episodes released at launch and subsequent episodes following on a weekly basis.
