Sky Arte airs documentary 'Arte vs Mafia – La forza della bellezza' honoring Falcone and Borsellino

On Sunday 9 August, Sky Arte broadcast the documentary “Arte vs Mafia – La forza della bellezza”. It examines how art can help counter the influence of the mafia, featuring testimonies from photographer Letizia Battaglia, artists, journalists and family members such as Maria Falcone, Fiammetta Borsellino and Franco La Torre. The programme showcases works including Tony Gentile’s photograph of Falcone and Borsellino smiling, a Palermo waterfront mural by street artists Rosk and Loste, and pieces by Emilio Isgrò, Igor Scalisi Palminteri and Velasco Vitali. The documentary was curated by the cultural platform Artribune.
