Sky introduces Multiview feature for sports broadcasting

Sky is launching several new features for its sports broadcasting services ahead of the new Premier League season starting August 21. The primary update is ‘Your Multiview’, which allows users on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q to watch up to four live Sky Sports events simultaneously on a single screen. This feature enables viewers to select specific audio feeds and expand any of the four windows to full screen.

In addition to Multiview, Sky is introducing a ‘Sports Hub’ that provides live scores, statistics, league tables, and schedules via a side panel during matches. The update also includes ‘Team Pages’ for following specific clubs, real-time streams, and a scrollable video feed on the Sky Sports app. While these features are rolling out across Sky platforms, the Now streaming app will also receive enhanced modes, including the ability to watch multiple streams at once later this season.
