Sky Italia and Rai win awards at 78th Prix Italia

Italian media productions Sky Italia and Rai achieved significant recognition at the 78th Prix Italia international competition held in L’Aquila.

Sky Italia’s historical miniseries, ‘M – Il figlio del secolo’, was awarded the Special Prize in honor of the President of the Republic. The series, based on the work of Antonio Scurati and written by Stefano Bises and Davide Serino, provides a dramatization of the youth of Benito Mussolini. Upon accepting the award, screenwriter Stefano Bises expressed a desire to convey an anti-fascist message.

Rai also secured a victory in the Digital Multimedia section with ‘Techegram’. Created by Fabrizio Biggio, the digital format aims to transform the Rai archives into an interactive experience to engage younger generations. Rai CEO Giampaolo Rossi described the win as a result of extraordinary value for the public service broadcaster.
