Sky Metals and Red Metal report progress in Australian mineral exploration
Sky Metals has reported high-grade assay results from its Tallebung tin-tungsten-silver project in New South Wales. Diamond drilling identified significant mineralisation, including intercepts of up to 2.44% tin and 5.45% tungsten trioxide. These findings include positions not previously included in the mineral resource estimate. The company plans to launch a reverse circulation program involving over 150 holes to test for additional resource growth and potential mine life extensions.
In Queensland, Red Metal is expanding its copper exploration footprint by lodging 17 new tenement applications. The expansion covers approximately 5,800km2 across the Gulf and Three Ways projects, targeting iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) deposits. An airborne gravity survey is currently underway, and drilling is scheduled for the GT06 target, supported in part by a $200,000 Queensland Government collaborative drilling grant.
