Sky Princess cruise ship cancels Oslo visit due to fog

The cruise ship Sky Princess has cancelled its scheduled stop in Oslo after heavy fog in the Oslofjord prevented it from navigating through the Drøbak Sound. The 330-meter vessel, owned by the American company Princess Cruises, was initially sailing in circles near Jeløya in Moss while waiting for visibility to improve.

Traffic controllers reported that the ship has since turned around and is heading south out of the fjord. The vessel, which can accommodate up to 4,610 guests, was traveling from Skagen, Denmark, and is now expected to proceed to Rotterdam, Netherlands. Other smaller vessels, including the Color Magic and Go Nordic Cruiseline, were able to navigate the fjord successfully as they are shorter than the Sky Princess.
