Sky Sport secures URC rights through 2029 as Benetton Rugby undergoes coaching changes

Sky Sport has secured exclusive broadcasting rights for the United Rugby Championship (URC) through the 2028/29 season. This three-year renewal ensures continued coverage of Italian franchises Benetton Treviso and Zebre Parma, including regular season matches, playoffs, and the final.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Benetton Rugby has undergone significant structural changes. Wayne Pivac has been appointed as the new head coach, joined by Rhys Patchell as attack coach. The squad has seen notable departures, including Tommaso Menoncello, Thomas Gallo, and Malakai Fekitoa, while integrating new international talent such as Australian center Josh Flook to bolster the roster.
