Sky to premiere documentary on sports physician Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt

Sky has announced the premiere of a new documentary titled ‘Müller-Wohlfahrt – Der Arzt der Champions’, scheduled to debut on October 23. The film profiles Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, the 84-year-old Munich-based sports physician known globally as ‘Mull’.

Produced by Kimmig Entertainment, the documentary traces his journey from his upbringing in an East Frisian parsonage to becoming a leading medical figure for elite athletes. His practice in Munich became a central hub for FC Bayern professionals and international stars alike. The film features interviews with high-profile figures including Usain Bolt, Wladimir Klitschko, Katarina Witt, Uli Hoeneß, Lothar Matthäus, and Joachim Löw.

In addition to his professional achievements, the documentary aims to provide personal insights by featuring interviews with his wife, Karin, and daughter, Maren. It also addresses the controversies surrounding his diagnostic methods, specifically his reliance on manual palpation of joints and bodies.
