SkyFall develops StarGate medical evacuation drone for Ukraine

Ukrainian defense technology company SkyFall has developed StarGate, an aerial medical evacuation drone designed to rescue wounded soldiers from high-risk combat zones. The drone features a closed medical module and is capable of carrying a 150-kilogram payload at speeds up to 105 km/h.

Developed in response to requests from front-line commanders, such as Flint of the 475th Separate Assault Regiment, the technology aims to bypass dangerous terrain including minefields, destroyed roads, and rivers. The drone has a one-way range of 15 kilometers, allowing it to reach soldiers trapped in ‘kill zones’ where ground vehicles cannot safely operate.

StarGate has been handed over to a combat brigade for evaluation under front-line conditions. If proven reliable, the system could significantly reduce evacuation times from hours or days to just a few minutes, potentially saving lives in areas under constant drone and artillery threat.
