Skykouri to host 23rd annual Almond Festival

The village of Skykouri, located in the Tempi Municipality, is set to host its 23rd annual Almond Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event celebrates the region's signature almond product, known for its high nutritional value.

Organized by the Tempi Municipality's Deputy Directorate of Culture, the Skykouri Municipal Community, the Skykouri Women's Association, and the Agricultural Association of the former Nessos-Elateia Municipality, the festival is held in co-organization with the Region of Thessaly.

The program includes an official opening ceremony, traditional blessings, and speeches. Attendees can sample free traditional almond-based recipes and sweets prepared by the Women's Association. The festivities will also feature traditional dance groups and a folk celebration with live music.
