Skylum launches browser-based Luminar for RAW photo editing

Skylum has launched Luminar on Web, a browser-based version of its photo editing software that enables RAW processing and AI-driven tools such as sky replacement, photo restoration, and GenErase. The web version offers cross-device synchronization, with basic functionality available for free and full access priced at US$69.

Luminar provides an alternative to subscription-based models through various one-time purchase tiers. The Desktop Only package is priced at $129, while the All Platforms package ($159) includes mobile app support and the web editor. The Max version ($199) adds a library of assets like LUTs and presets.

While Luminar offers a competitive set of core tools and AI features, reviews note limitations in handling large galleries, metadata filtering, and noise reduction compared to industry standards like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
