Skymatics and Safie launch new AI and satellite-based spatial services

Skymatics Inc. has announced the launch of its ‘Satellite Photogrammetry’ service through its spatial data integration platform, Kumiki. The technology uses high-resolution satellite imagery to reconstruct 3D spatial data, including orthophotos and 3D point clouds. This method allows for the mapping of restricted or difficult-to-access areas without the need for drones or aircraft, providing applications in construction, infrastructure, disaster prevention, and defense through geospatial intelligence.

Separately, Safie Inc. will launch ‘AI-App Bear Detection’ on September 1, 2026. Developed via its Safie AI Studio platform, the service uses AI and cloud cameras to automatically detect bears and provide instant notifications. The service aims to address the rising issue of ‘urban bears’ and human casualties by enabling rapid responses in residential areas, schools, construction sites, and infrastructure facilities, even in low-light conditions.
