SkyShowtime announces new Polish original series and continuations
SkyShowtime has announced several new developments for its Polish original content. The streaming platform is currently filming a new crime series titled ‘Zwierzak’. Set in the 1990s, the production is inspired by the memoirs of Jerzy Hybiński and the book ‘Zwierzak. Spowiedź policyjnego przykrywkowca’ by Janusz Schwertner and Mateusz Baczyński. The series follows an undercover policeman and stars Piotr Witkowski, alongside Borys Szyc and Eryk Kulm.
Additionally, SkyShowtime has released the first two episodes of ‘Pionek’, a continuation of the successful series ‘Śleboda’. Based on the crime novels by Małgorzata Fugiel-Kuźmińska and Michał Kuźmiński, the new season moves the setting to Upper Silesia. The series features Maria Dębska and Maciej Musiał in lead roles, with subsequent episodes scheduled to release weekly on Thursdays.
