SkyTeam launches fifth edition of The Aviation Challenge

SkyTeam has launched the fifth edition of ‘The Aviation Challenge’ (TAC), centered on the theme ‘Collective Momentum’. The initiative aims to foster collaboration among airlines and industry stakeholders to develop, implement, and scale solutions that reduce the environmental impact of aviation.

The challenge focuses on critical areas including emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and waste management. To enhance its impact, the TAC 2026 recognition framework has been expanded to include environmental, financial, and social dimensions.

Participants must submit their entries by November 2, 2026. Following an evaluation by a panel of aviation and sustainability experts, winners across 21 award categories will be announced in January 2027. Since its inception, the program has engaged 28 airlines and facilitated the development of over 760 innovative solutions.
