Skywalk Willingen is Germany’s longest suspension bridge

The Skywalk Willingen, located in the Rothaargebirge, is Germany’s longest suspension bridge, measuring 665 meters in length. Situated 100 meters above the Strycktal, the structure offers panoramic views of the Sauerland forests and hills.

The bridge can accommodate up to 700 people simultaneously. From the walkway, visitors can also view the Mühlenkopfschanze, which is the world’s largest large ski jump with a hill size of 147 meters.

While the Skywalk is open year-round, access may be restricted during severe weather. The facility utilizes wind sensors to automatically close the bridge if wind speeds exceed safety limits.
