Skywings Flight Training to open pilot center at Castellón Airport

Castellón Airport has reached an agreement with the Belgian flight school Skywings Flight Training to establish a dedicated pilot training center at its facilities. The company already maintains a presence at the airport, with four Diamond DA40 aircraft permanently based there and approximately 60 Belgian students conducting flight training at the site annually.

Skywings Flight Training is a significant player in the aviation sector, responsible for training pilots for Brussels Airlines and maintaining links with the European Flight Academy, which is part of the Lufthansa Group. Dominique Van Den Heuvel, co-director of Skywings, cited the region's favorable weather conditions and the airport's modern infrastructure and professional operational environment as key factors for the expansion.

Raquel París, General Director of Aerocas, stated that the new training center is expected to increase operational activity at the airport, create jobs, and provide a positive economic impact for the province through increased demand for local hospitality and retail services.
