SKZ expands technical capabilities with Kurimoto kneader loan

The SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum in Würzburg, Germany, has expanded its technical capabilities through a loan of an S2KRC kneader system from the Japanese manufacturer Kurimoto Ltd. The equipment was officially handed over on June 22, 2026.

The kneader is designed for continuous processing of various material systems, including thermoplastic, thermoset, and elastomeric plastics. Its applications also extend to coatings, adhesives, battery masses, and food products, with throughput rates ranging from 5 to 50 kg/h depending on the material.

SKZ intends to integrate the technology into its research and development activities, supporting both publicly funded projects and industrial research cooperations. For Kurimoto, the partnership serves as a strategic move to explore and develop the potential of its kneading technology within the European market.
