SL buses: 38 vehicles reported stolen in Sweden
Thirty-eight MAN brand buses belonging to SL Finans, a subsidiary of Stockholm public transport authority SL, have been reported stolen. The vehicles, which are red, reportedly disappeared on October 6.
The buses had been taken out of regular service and were scheduled to be sold to a third party. They are currently registered as stolen with both the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen) and Larmtjänst, an organization that handles stolen vehicle reports for the insurance industry.
SL has filed a police report regarding the incident. A spokesperson for SL stated that the vehicles were decommissioned and that dialogues are ongoing between the affected parties. The company declined to provide specific details regarding the location, the circumstances of the disappearance, or the exact scope of the event, noting that they do not wish to comment on responsibility while investigations are active.
