Slack introduces AI-powered interactive reporting via Slackforce Surfaces

Slack has introduced a new AI-powered feature called ‘Slackforce Surfaces’ that allows teams to generate interactive reports, dashboards, surveys, presentations, and micro-sites directly within their chat workspace.

Users can use natural language to instruct Slackbot to create these tools. The AI assistant gathers relevant information from ongoing conversations and integrated third-party applications, such as Google Drive and Salesforce, to build the requested visualizations. Once created, these surfaces can be shared with colleagues, pinned to channels, and interacted with through comments or direct engagement.

According to Slack’s Head of Marketing, Ryan Gavin, the goal is to reduce the need for users to export data to external tools to make sense of it. Instead, teams can generate and act upon data visualizations in the same environment where their professional discussions are already taking place.
