Slain 2: The Beast Within announced for Nintendo Switch

Silver Lining Interactive and Steel Mantis have announced that Slain 2: The Beast Within will be released for Nintendo Switch in early 2027. The game will be available in both digital and physical formats on the platform, joining previously announced versions for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.

A sequel to the Slain universe, this 2D action-platformer follows Prince Akran, the last of the Wolf Knights, as he battles the forces of Lord Vroll. Players utilize Bathoryn, a sentient sword capable of elemental fire and ice attacks, alongside a werewolf transformation mechanic triggered by the full moon.

The gameplay focuses on a hack-and-slash style featuring precision combat, parries, and a quest to recover three sacred relics: the Eye, the Heart, and the Dagger. The game maintains a gothic pixel art aesthetic, set across environments such as haunted seas, castles, and abyssal depths.
