Slash receives 2026 Les Paul Spirit Award

Rock guitarist Slash has been honored with the 2026 Les Paul Spirit Award. The award was presented during a private ceremony at The Les Paul Recording Studio in Hollywood, organized by the Les Paul Foundation in partnership with Gibson Gives.

The annual award recognizes individuals who embody the innovation, creativity, and engineering spirit of Les Paul. The physical trophy presented to Slash was uniquely hand-carved from authentic acoustic boards originally built and used by Les Paul in his personal home recording studio.

In addition to the award, details were shared regarding Slash’s upcoming studio album, ‘FLYING BLIND’, featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. The 12-track project, recorded largely live with producer Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette, is scheduled for release on February 26, 2027, via Gibson Records.
