Slatina athletes excel at Freestyle Skateboarding World Championship

Romanian athletes from Slatina achieved notable results at the Freestyle Skateboarding World Championship held in Kassel, Germany, from August 14 to 16, 2026.

Daniel Popescu secured 5th place in the men's professional category and earned the “Best Trick” distinction for the most impressive individual execution of the competition. In the same category, Marius Constantin finished 12th. Rhianna Grigore also placed 5th in the women's professional division.

Younger competitors saw success as well, with Gabriela Cîrciumaru finishing 4th and Eduard Georgescu taking 5th in the under-14 category.
