Slatina hosts Symphony by the River concert at Plaja Olt

The ‘Symphony by the River’ concert held at Plaja Olt in Slatina drew a crowd that significantly exceeded initial expectations. While organizers and Mayor Mario De Mezzo originally anticipated between 500 and 700 attendees, the actual turnout surpassed 1,200 people.

The multisensory event featured a transparent stage set above a pool, integrated with a landscape of lights and thousands of candles. The musical program focused on ‘Great Romanian Classics,’ with musicians performing live in a setting designed to differ from a traditional concert hall.

Participation was free, though access required a nominal QR code invitation and a mandatory white dress code. The municipality allocated approximately 10,000 euros from the local budget to organize the event.
