Slatina to host 35th anniversary of 136th Brigade

Local authorities in Slatina have held an initial meeting to organize the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the 136th Slatina Brigade of the Croatian Army. The central commemoration is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 24, in Slatina.

The meeting included Slatina Mayor Tom Tomić, officials from the municipalities of Čađavica and Nova Bukovica, representatives of veteran associations, and participants from the 1990s war. The upcoming program will serve as a tribute to the fallen and missing defenders and a remembrance of the region's role in the Croatian War of Independence. A comprehensive commemorative and cultural program is currently being developed.
