Slaven Belupo appoints Silvijo Čabraja as new head coach

Slaven Belupo has appointed Silvijo Čabraja as its new head coach, signing him to a two-year contract. The 58-year-old specialist replaces Mario Gregurina, who was dismissed following a poor start to the season.

Gregurina’s departure follows a period where the club secured only three points from five matches, including four losses. During his 15-month tenure, Gregurina led the team in 45 official matches, recording 11 wins, 11 draws, and 19 losses.

Čabraja brings significant experience to the Koprivnica-based club, having previously managed Lokomotiva from 2021 to 2025. He was notably recognized in late 2023 as the best coach in Europe for youth player development. He is expected to begin training with the squad immediately.
