Slavia Prague and Viktoria Plzeň detail squad changes ahead of new Czech league season

Slavia Prague coach Jindřich Trpišovský said the club will undergo its most extensive roster overhaul in his eight‑year tenure. The team confirmed the arrivals of midfielders Pavel Kačor and Emmanuel Ayaosi, both from Karviná, and expressed interest in former captain Tomáš Souček, who could return from West Ham after the World Cup. The futures of striker Tomáš Chorý, midfielder David Douděra and captain Jan Bořil remain unresolved, while the club is also scouting players such as Václav Sejko, Danijel Šturm and Péter Baráth.

Viktoria Plzeň released a squad review highlighting several key figures. Goalkeeper Florian Wiegele signed a three‑year extension, and defender Sampson Dweh secured a contract until 2029. Midfielder Václav Jemelka, despite a knee injury, remains an experienced presence. Forward David Krčík, defender Merchas Doski, and winger Amar Memić are all under long‑term deals, with the club indicating they would consider offers from larger leagues. Captain Lukáš Červ continues to lead the side, while other regulars such as Patrik Hrošovský and Timotej Šimko have also featured prominently this season.
