Slavia Prague fans return to Eden Arena amid security protests
Slavia Prague fans have returned to Eden Arena after a 105-day absence caused by a four-match stadium ban following incidents during a May derby. The return was marked by both celebrations and significant tension regarding new security protocols.
Under the direction of new security advisor Jiří Komorous, the club has implemented stricter entry requirements. These include mandatory identity verification for ticket purchases and more rigorous inspections, such as prohibiting large backpacks. While these measures aim to prevent future pitch invasions, they have drawn sharp criticism from the club's ultras, specifically the 'Tribuna Sever' group, who directed chants against Komorous and security officials.
The event also featured appearances by football legends Antonín Panenka and Milan Škoda, as well as former coach Karel Jarolím. Despite the celebratory presence of club icons, the atmosphere remained volatile due to protests against club management and the new security leadership.
