Slavia Praha striker Tomáš Chorý suspended following red card

Slavia Praha striker Tomáš Chorý was sent off during a 0-0 draw against Hradec Králové after making an obscene gesture toward referee Jan Všetečka. The incident occurred in the 55th minute when Chorý, appearing to react to a perceived lack of a foul, directed a middle finger at the official. This marks Chorý's fourth red card in the Czech league since the start of the previous season.

Slavia coach Jindřich Trpišovský expressed extreme disappointment, describing the behavior as “absolutely stupid” and a betrayal of the team's trust. As a consequence of the disciplinary action, Chorý will not travel with the squad for their upcoming Champions League match against Fenerbahçe in Istanbul.

While club owner Pavel Tykač had previously supported Chorý following past controversies, the current backlash from coaching staff, teammates, and fans has raised serious questions regarding his future at the club. The player's history of disciplinary issues, including past incidents involving physical contact with opponents and perceived unsportsmanlike conduct, has led to calls for his immediate departure from the team.
