Tour of Bulgaria cycling race triggers road closures in six regions

The 73rd International Tour of Bulgaria is scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 2. The Road Infrastructure Agency (API) has announced phased traffic restrictions across several regions to ensure participant safety.

Movement will be limited on various sections of the first, second, and third-class road networks in the provinces of Burgas, Yambol, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, and Lovech. The race convoy will be led by two pilot cars, and emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks will maintain access to restricted areas.

The race stages include: - August 29: Primorsko to Burgas (125.2 km) - August 30: Burgas to Sliven (105.5 km) - August 31: Sliven to Pavel Banya (106.2 km) - September 1: Pavel Banya to Troyan (104.7 km)

Drivers are advised to exercise caution, follow road signs, and maintain safe distances during the event.
