German driver fined in Croatia for displaying Russian symbols on BMW

Croatian police have fined a 45-year-old German citizen 700 euros for violating public order and peace near Slavonski Brod. The incident occurred on October 15 on the A3 highway.

The driver was stopped while operating a black BMW with German license plates. Authorities reported that the vehicle prominently displayed a sticker of the Russian flag and other inappropriate drawings that were deemed to offend citizens and disturb public order.

Photos of the vehicle, which was also seen at a McDonald's parking lot in Slavonski Brod, show the hood covered in Russian flag colors and a large double-headed eagle symbol, alongside religious imagery such as a cross.
