Sleep duration linked to accelerated biological aging

A study published in the journal Nature, utilizing data from approximately 500,000 participants in the UK Biobank, indicates that both excessive and insufficient sleep are linked to accelerated biological aging.

Research suggests that sleeping between 6.4 and 7.8 hours per night is associated with healthier aging processes, reduced disease risk, and increased longevity. Deviating from this range may accelerate the aging of vital organs, including the brain, heart, lungs, and immune system.

Medical experts note that while many focus on dietary supplements or biohacking, sleep remains a fundamental pillar for cellular regeneration, mitochondrial function, and overall physiological recovery.
