Sleep health and nutrition linked to dementia and sleep quality

New research and medical discussions are highlighting the connection between sleep patterns, nutrition, and long-term health. One study identifies pistachios as a promising whole food for sleep research due to their nutritional profile. Pistachios contain tryptophan, vitamin B6, and magnesium, which the body uses to produce serotonin and melatonin, hormones essential for regulating sleep-wake cycles. They also contain phytomelatonin, a plant-produced form of melatonin.

In related health discussions, medical experts have noted that getting seven to eight hours of sleep is associated with the lowest risk of dementia. Additionally, medical professionals in Algeria have addressed various health challenges, including the management of Alzheimer's disease, cancer prevention, and the importance of vaccination and hygiene measures to mitigate disease waves.
