Sleeper bus destroyed by fire in Karnataka's Sagar taluk

A private sleeper bus traveling from Bengaluru to Sagar caught fire due to a short circuit early Thursday morning near Mumbalu village in Karnataka’s Sagar taluk. The blaze, which occurred around 5:45 AM, destroyed approximately 80 percent of the vehicle.

No casualties were reported as the driver and cleaner acted quickly to allow all passengers to escape. At the time of the incident, only two passengers remained on the bus, as most travelers had already disembarked during a previous stop in Shivamogga. Fire and Emergency Services personnel arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames, and Anandapuram Police have registered a case to investigate the matter further.
