Sleeping Dogs 2 could happen with planetary alignment, says former developer
Alastair Cornish, a former designer at United Front, stated in a recent interview with FRVR that a sequel to the 2012 game Sleeping Dogs is possible, though it would require a specific set of circumstances.
Cornish noted that while "never say never" applies to game development, a sequel would require "planetary alignment," involving passionate, multi-skilled individuals who are disciplined with financial investments.
Regarding game design, Cornish argued that the industry is moving away from the trend of creating massive, empty open worlds. He suggested that modern games should focus on more concentrated environments rather than simply chasing larger maps filled with repetitive activities.
