Sleman and Gonzaga host upcoming cultural and creative festivals

Sleman Regency is preparing to host Sleman Creative Weeks (SCW) 2026 in October, following the conclusion of the Yogyakarta Cultural Festival (FKY) 2026. Under the theme ‘Living Shared Culture’, the event aims to provide an interactive space for various art, culture, and community groups to collaborate. The program is structured around four main pillars, including the Sleman Kite Festival, which emphasizes environmental awareness through zero-waste principles, and the Bedog Arts Festival, which explores the relationship between humans and their environment.

In Jakarta, SMA Kolese Gonzaga is holding the Gonzaga Festival 2026 from September 19 to 26. Themed ‘Menembus Rintangan, Mengejar Harapan’ (Breaking Obstacles, Chasing Hope), the festival serves as a platform for students to express creativity and reflect on overcoming challenges. Principal Pater Eduardo Calistus Radityo noted that the theme draws inspiration from the resilience of cowboys in extreme conditions, reflecting the challenges of modern education and the digital era.
