Sleman and Klaten agree on tax sharing for Prambanan Temple
The Sleman and Klaten Regency governments have reached an agreement regarding the distribution of taxes on specific goods and services (PBJT) derived from arts and entertainment activities within the Prambanan Temple tourist area. The cooperation, formalized through a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) signed by Sleman Regent Harda Kiswaya and Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo, aims to optimize regional original income (PAD) and improve the management of the temple site located on the border of the two regencies.
Sleman Regent Harda Kiswaya stated that administrative boundaries should not hinder the economic potential of the Prambanan area. The tax revenue is intended to fund improvements in tourist services, including cleanliness, environmental preservation of the temple, and the maintenance of local river flows. InJourney, represented by Director of Finance and Risk Management Joel Siahaan, confirmed that InJourney and PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) are prepared to fulfill tax obligations according to the agreed percentages.
In addition to administrative developments, the Prambanan Temple complex continues its cultural programming, including the traditional Ramayana Ballet performances held at the Open Air Outdoor Stage.
