Sleman authorities provide 45,000 L of clean water and enforce removal of 1,791 illegal banners
The Sleman Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) distributed 45,000 liters of clean water to 303 households in the Turi and Moyudan sub‑districts during April and July 2026. The aid responded to water‑supply disruptions caused by a landslide in Turi and pipe blockages in Moyudan, with 20,000 L delivered in four trips to Turi and 25,000 L in five trips to Moyudan.
Meanwhile, the Sleman municipal police (Satpol PP) carried out 47 enforcement operations from January to June 2026, removing a total of 1,791 banners, advertisements and campaign props across the regency. The highest number of items—469—was seized in January, reflecting leftover installations from the previous year. The seized materials were not destroyed; owners could reclaim them after completing a formal request.
Both actions illustrate local authorities’ efforts to maintain public health and order in the Sleman region of Indonesia.
