Sleman faces water shortages and weather warnings

Despite recent rainfall, 11 schools and one health center in Sleman continue to face clean water shortages. The Sleman Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is still distributing water supplies to several areas, including Bangunkerto, Merdikorejo, Margorejo, Margokaton, Sumberarum, and Sidorejo, as water sources have not yet recovered.

Simultaneously, the BPBD has issued warnings regarding the rainy season. Residents are advised to mitigate risks of flooding and fallen trees by cleaning drainage systems and inspecting large, leafy trees near homes. Authorities also recommend monitoring weather reports from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to prepare for potential extreme weather.
