Sleman Police Launch Investigation into Alleged Sexual Assault of UAD Student

The Sleman Police Department in Yogyakarta has elevated a case of alleged sexual violence involving a student from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) to the investigation stage. Police spokesperson Iptu Argo Anggoro confirmed that investigators have deepened their inquiry and scheduled witness examinations for the following week. The university’s internal task force on sexual violence is also conducting its own investigation, having summoned relevant parties for statements and imposed a temporary sanction on the accused student pending the outcome.

Student representatives, including BEM FH deputy Eg​y Dimas, have met with university officials to seek clarification on the handling of the case and to ensure that the internal investigation proceeds according to university regulations.
