Sleman Regency records 29,167 t fish output and channels Rp6.3 bn capital fund

From January to June 2026 Sleman Regency’s aquaculture sector produced a total of 29,167,651 kg (about 29,167 t) of fish, generating economic value of roughly Rp810.7 billion. Production peaked in February with 7,308,220 kg worth Rp203.6 bn, driven by higher demand before Ramadan and Idul Fitri, while the lowest output was recorded in April at 3,175,826 kg and Rp94.6 bn. Seasonal fluctuations and a projected longer, drier dry season raise concerns for the second half of the year.

In parallel, the regency’s Capital Strengthening Fund (DPM) has disbursed Rp6.3 billion, about 32 % of its Rp19.625 bn allocation. The largest share went to cooperatives (Rp1.95 bn), followed by the Family Income‑Increasing Business Group (UPPKA) with Rp1.436 bn. Other sectors receiving funds include horticulture and plantations (Rp973 m), staple crops (Rp790 m), livestock (Rp559.2 m), food security (Rp290 m), fisheries (Rp169.2 m), small‑medium enterprises (Rp98 m) and labour‑training programmes (Rp75 m). The programme targets micro, small and medium enterprises, providing loans secured by collateral such as land or property.
