A school fence at SDN Minomartani 2 in Ngaglik, Sleman, collapsed on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026, injuring 10 people. The incident occurred around 07:50 WIB while participants of a community walking event were resting near the school area.

The collapsed structure was approximately 12 meters long and 1.5 meters high. The injured individuals were evacuated to several hospitals, including Rumah Sakit Condong Catur (receiving six victims), RS Hermina, and RS UAD.

According to Bambang Kuntoro, Head of BPBD Sleman, the walking event was organized by local residents to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day. The event had an estimated attendance of 400 to 500 people.
