SLEP Iquique rehabilitates all 42 educational facilities

The Local Public Education Service (SLEP) of Iquique has successfully rehabilitated all 42 of its educational establishments following recent adverse weather conditions. This recovery process ensures a safe and definitive return to educational activities for the region.

Repair efforts included work on roofs, treatment of affected areas, recovery of common spaces, and repairs to ceilings. Specifically, more than 3,400 square meters of ceilings were repaired, and over 581 classrooms were made functional. Additionally, 20,500 square meters of fumigation and sanitization were conducted across the facilities.

Executive Director Najle Majluf Morales stated that reaching 100% rehabilitation restores service continuity and provides peace of mind to the community, allowing the focus to return to student learning and classroom activities.
