SLEP Iquique reports improved teacher evaluation results

The 2025 Teacher Evaluation Process for the Local Public Education Service (SLEP) Iquique shows significant progress in professional development. Approximately 57.2% of evaluated professionals achieved categories A or B, marking a 26.2-point increase compared to 2024.

Out of 187 portfolios completed, 107 reached the top two categories, with category B representing the largest proportion at 47.6%. Conversely, 24.6% of professionals were placed in categories D or E. The evaluation results are used to guide targeted support strategies for educators needing to strengthen specific pedagogical competencies.

Since 2024, SLEP Iquique has implemented a peer-led professional accompaniment strategy. This initiative utilizes the expertise of educators within their own educational communities to support colleagues participating in the evaluation process.
