SLIFA FC files case with Court of Arbitration for Sport

Mount Aureol SLIFA FC has filed a formal case with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, against the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and Bullom Stars FC. The club is contesting what it describes as its unjust and unlawful removal from the Sierra Leone Premier League.

The dispute reportedly stems from a contested fixture involving Bullom Stars. While the SLFA Appeals Board had previously recommended a replay, the Premier League Board ultimately confirmed Bullom Stars as one of the 16 teams for the new season, excluding SLIFA FC.

In its filing, SLIFA FC is seeking two specific provisional interim orders: the immediate inclusion of the club in the 2026/27 Sierra Leone Premier League, and the suspension of the ongoing league season until the matter is fully determined. The club stated the legal action is necessary to protect its legitimate rights and uphold due process. Neither the SLFA nor Bullom Stars FC have publicly responded to the filing.
