Slipknot's Clown explains vision for 'Arsenal' music video

Slipknot percussionist and director M Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan has released a behind-the-scenes clip explaining the vision behind the music video for the band’s new single, ‘Arsenal’. The video, which was posted to YouTube on September 18, addresses the ‘difficult’ creative process involved in the project.

Crahan noted that while the band wanted to feature themselves, it was too early to finalize new masks and outfits. He expressed a desire to avoid ‘regurgitating old stuff’ to ensure the band does not repeat itself. The director described the intended effect of the video as ‘confusing and a little bewildering’ to allow for more focus on the band’s direction in the future.

‘Arsenal’ marks the first new song featuring Eloy Casagrande and excludes members Sid Wilson and Craig Jones.
