SLNA leads V.League standings after five rounds

Sông Lam Nghệ An (SLNA) has moved to the top of the V.League 2026-2027 standings after five rounds of competition. Despite having one of the lowest squad values in the league at approximately 2.23 million euros, the team remains undefeated with three wins and two draws.

Key results contributing to their position include a 4-1 victory over Hanoi FC and a 2-0 win against HAGL. The team's success is attributed to a maturing squad of young players, such as Phan Bá Quyền, who have transitioned from relegation battles to becoming core contributors under coach Văn Sỹ Sơn.

In other league action, Ninh Bình fell from first place to fourth after a 1-0 loss to Công an TP Hồ Chí Minh, with Cummings scoring a decisive goal in stoppage time. Meanwhile, Đà Nẵng secured a 1-0 win against Hà Nội following a red card for Nguyễn Anh Tiệp in the 18th minute.
