Slovak actor accused of treason after drone factory location video

Slovak actor Andrej Palko, a member of the National Theatre Košice, is defending himself against accusations of treason following a police investigation into an attempted arson attack.

Authorities recently intercepted a plot to attack the Skyeton factory near Prešov, a facility that manufactures unmanned aerial systems (drones). Police reported seizing incendiary mixtures, described by experts as a napalm-like blend of gasoline and polystyrene, along with tools and mobile phones. The attack reportedly targeted a facility where approximately 70 employees could have been present, with potential property damage reaching tens of millions of euros.

Critics have labeled Palko a prominent spreader of Kremlin propaganda. In late July, he posted a video to a social media group with over 180,000 followers, identifying the exact location of the Skyeton plant. In the video, Palko described the company as a ‘legitimate target for the Russian army’ because its drones are used in strikes within Russian territory. He questioned whether it is appropriate for the Slovak government to host such military targets.
