Slovak and Slovenian charities provide aid to families in need

Slovenska Karitas responded to a request from a four‑person family in the Primorska region of Slovenia. The family, facing low income, the mother’s disability and two children with special needs, struggled with high electricity bills. With donor contributions, the charity arranged the purchase of a climate‑control device to improve heating efficiency and lower energy costs.

In Slovakia, the volunteer group Slovenské Hnutie Obrody delivered assistance to a socially vulnerable family in the Žiar nad Hronom district. The aid, coordinated by member Daniela Fratričová, involved a direct purchase for the household and was part of the ongoing “Staráme sa” project, which operates without government or EU funding. Both organisations appeal for further donations to continue supporting families in hardship.
