Slovak athletes perform at World U20 Athletics Championships

Slovak athletes achieved notable results at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene. Laura Frličková secured seventh place in the women's 100m hurdles final with a time of 13.23 seconds, overcoming an unfavorable lane assignment to defeat competitors including American Tori Goodson.

In other events, Ema Bendová set a new Slovak national record in the U20 category for the 200m, running 23.51 seconds to qualify for the semifinals via time. The Slovak women's 4x400m relay team also established a new national record with a time of 3:39.93, finishing 15th overall among 22 countries.

The men's 4x100m relay team set a national record of 40.53 seconds, finishing 18th. However, the men's 4x400m relay and the women's 4x100m relay did not reach the finals.
